Antonio Puerta started working in our law firm in 2001 and was named Partner in 2004. He is in charge of the Procedural, Arbitration, and Litigation Law Department.
He has been a practicing attorney for nearly 24 years, specializing in Procedural, Civil, Contentious-administrative, and Criminal Law, representing our clients’ interests at the Court Houses. He is also in charge of our Law Firm’s Bankruptcy Law cases, dealing with bankruptcy proceedings and providing bankruptcy legal advice to our clients.
Along his professional career, he has participated in a number of Civil litigations related to breach and termination of contracts, contract construction, contractual and non-contractual civil liabilities, and the protection of honor, privacy, and self-image. In relation to Procedural Law, he has been involved in financial crime legal proceedings. He specializes in criminal liability of legal persons.
In relation to Civil Law, it is important to point out his involvement in major legal proceedings in representation of issuers of debt securities listed in the fixed income markets.
In relation to Contentious-administrative Law, he has handled a number of resources against the Administration, challenging tender awards of great financial relevance.
The highlight of his experience is handling arbitration proceedings before different offices and arbitration courts.
He is a regular speaker at a number of schools and institutions. He is currently a Professor of the Ramon Areces Foundation Commercial Distribution class at the University of Oviedo, and he teaches classes on Business Legal Advice of the Master’s Program at Charles III University of Madrid.
